Writing and reading have always been a passion for me. Ever since I was a kid, I knew that I wanted to do something with words. Blogging gives me a lot of opportunities to write, but I also want to use it to motivate fellow readers. And what better way than a book review?
When I was studying for my Master’s Degree in Management, then I not only read hundreds of books but also analyzed them, reviewed them and wrote a letter about them. I’m not going to be all depth here The one I am sharing on this post is the review of travelogue book “Travel, My Way by Vartika Mehrotra Gakhar.“Very few travelogues have the capacity to reach the true essence of the cities. This book, written in first-person, does that quite successfully! From travelling across India and the stories related to these places, this book finds a connect with most of the city-beauties.
What’s the most endearing part of Vartika’s storytelling technique? Following the simplest-style of writing, the author uses plain, short and direct sentences, well-stocked with information.
Also, the emotions are honest, non-melodramatic and non-superficial. Her memories of these cities manage to build a special connect with travellers all over India.
For an avid Traveller, the book evokes a feeling of nostalgia. But, post reliving one’s memories, and acquaint them with the Cities of fun.
“One Dark Night ” is a very scary memory and I remembered that I had almost the same incident with me and my wife in Mumbai.
Overall book is full of sightseeing and memories of Vartika along with the exclusive details of particular places which is very helpful if you are a good traveller.
This is the must-read Travelogue. And I am fond of Vartika’s style of writing.
